Normal Dungeons drops Item Level 158 gear at Level 60. Heroic Dungeons drops Item Level 171 gear. Mythic Dungeons drops Item Level 184 gear. To queue for Heroic Dungeons through the Dungeon Finder, you must be a certain item level (157), but you can walk in with a premade group at any point. Dungeon Finder (EQ2) Dungeon Finder is a matchmaking system to make it easier for groups to get together for dungeons. The system only requires a minimum of six players of the required archetypical group roles in order to make a match, so it shouldn't take many players at all to make the system work.
For those who want to find the dungeon, you can take the advantage of the tool called Dungeon Finder that is provided by Chunk Base. Chunk Base is definitely number one when it comes to this kind of app. Here is the guide of Dungeon Finder by Chunk Base for newbies.
Quick Start
In order to use the Dungeon Finder, the first thing that you will have to do is to enter your world seed in the next box located at the top and then click Find Dungeons!. Doing so will make you able to use the map below to find chunks where you will be able to find dungeons:
- Multiple Spawners in chunk
- Zombie Spawner
- Skeleton Spawner
- Spider Spawner
If you want to get the exact coordinates, you can mouse input by hovering over a chunk or double clicking, or touch input by tapping or long pressing on a chunk.
How accurate is Dungeon Finder by Chunk Base? Dungeon Finder by Chunk Base is not 100% accurate. A few locations may not be actual dungeons in-game, and in some in-game, dungeons may be missing. The main goal of the creator is that the finder is accurate enough to be useful and not be frustrating to use.
In case you find multiple locations to be wrong, you are suggested to try again in a distant location. If it also does not help, then you can try to leave a comment on the official website of Chunk Finder, on the Dungeon Finder part. Do not forget to include your world seed, the locations you checked and the version of Minecraft that you have.
Requirements
- Seed
For the sake of the technical reason, knowing the seed of your world is important to use Biome Finder. For those who want to find a seed for a new world, then the case is different. If you are playing SSP, this app can get you the seed from your savegame. Another option is to use the /seed command in-game. In SMP, the same command can be used if you have sufficient rights. Otherwise, however, you rely on the owner of the server, the person who started the world and has access to the savegame and config files.
- Technical
Dungeon Finder by chunk Base uses some relatively new web technologies. It explains why there might be some features that are disabled for the older browsers. In this case, it is better for you to use the newest version of a major browser such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or Edge.
Usage
- Seed Selection
Choose a seed and version is the first thing that should be done. You are allowed to either type it in manually or load it from your savegame. You can do the second one by clicking on Load from Save… and choosing your level.dat, or by drag and dropping the level.dat file into the browser window. For those who are not familiar with level.dat, it refers to a small file that can be found in the folder of every Minecraft savegame. The savegames are located in the saves folder of your Minecraft installation. On Windows, you can type in the %appdata%minecraftsaves to get to that folder.
You are allowed to place and reuse the seeds on the Biome Finder by levels. On the other words, you do not need to load the savegame whenever you use it. When it loads the seed from a level, the seed will automatically be stored as a level.
For your information, a seed is always a number up to around 20 digits. It will be converted automatically to a number even when you try to enter anything else like letters. In general, the DungeonFinder by Chunk Base does this the same way Minecraft does, so it is safe to use letters or the other characters as well.
- Navigation
After entering your seed and version, you are able to start using the map. You can use the arrow keys if you want to scroll while the mouse cursor can be used to point at the map. You can also move the mouse while you are holding down the left mouse button. Feel free to use the slider below the map or your mousewheel for zooming. Removing and adding the marker are also allowed by double clicking on the map. The Save Map button is the one to save the currently shown map as a png image file.
- Touchscreen
When you use a touch-enabled device, there is an extra option for enabling or disabling the touchscreen control shown below the map. With that option enabled, dragging a map is allowed to navigate. You can also pinch to zoom in and out, and tap and hold to set a market on the map. For everyone who wants to quickly enable or disable the functionality as well, all that you have to do is to double tap on the map.
